ABOUT

Karina Feldmann

My name is Karina, and I became a psychologist because I believe that every person, regardless of age, background, or the challenges they face, deserves a space where they feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

With over 18 years of experience, I work with children (from age 3), teenagers, and adults across a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. Whether you're a parent worried about your child, a young person finding their way, or an adult navigating life's weight, I bring the same commitment to every session — genuine care, clinical expertise, and a deep respect for your unique story.

My Approach

I work in a way that is warm, collaborative, and evidence based. There is no judgment here, only curiosity and a genuine desire to help you move forward. I draw from a range of proven therapeutic approaches, always tailored to your individual needs and goals. I have completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a specialized, internationally recognized therapy for trauma, PTSD, and distressing life experiences. EMDR works by helping the brain process memories and experiences that feel "stuck," and can bring meaningful relief where other approaches haven't. I am a member of the EMDR Association of Australia. Alongside EMDR, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and attachment-focused approaches grounded in neuroscience. I am also trained in parent-focused programs including Tuning into Kids (emotion coaching) and Circle of Security (attachment-informed parenting), supporting families to build stronger, more connected relationships.

Who I Work With

I have a particular passion for working with children and young people, collaborating closely with families and schools to ensure my clients feel supported across all areas of their lives. I also bring the same empathy and care to my work with adults — whether you're dealing with anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, or simply feeling stuck.

I welcome clients with neurodivergent profiles, including Autistic individuals and those with ADHD, and I am experienced in supporting clients under the Workers Compensation scheme in accordance with SIRA guidelines.

Languages

I am fluent in both English and Spanish, and I am deeply committed to providing culturally sensitive care for clients from diverse backgrounds. For Spanish-speaking families in particular, having a psychologist who truly understands your language and cultural context can make all the difference.
